Q Do you make
your own chocolate?
A No. The chocolate we use is made in Oxfordshire
by a well-respected Belgian chocolate company and our customers continually
tell us we have made the right choices for our primary ingredient!
Q What's so special
about it?
A The fact that a chocolate is Belgian is not in itself
a guarantee of quality. However we have chosen a high quality producer
and the chocolate we use does not contain added vegetabe fat, something
widely added by many chocolate makers since it is much cheaper than cocoa
butter which is what ours contains. The result? A much purer chocolate
flavour!
Q What's the cocoa
content of your chocolate?
A The milk chocolate we use has 38.5% cocoa and the plain
chocolate 51.2%. We don't use use a higher cocoa content plain chocolate
because we also use it to make our range 0f filled chocolates and a bitter
chocolate around some of the centres would not work well (in our opinion).
However, to emphasise the previous point, the chocolate is very pure and
the cocoa flavour is very strong. The best way to judge is to try some
- visit us at a market or show and we'll give you a sample!
